A candidate walks on a track during the selection for the Polish Special Forces in the mountains of southern Poland April 5, 2011. Soldiers took part in the selection for the 1st Special Commando Regiment of Lubliniec, and were judged based on their physical and psychological abilities during five days of long distance walking in the mountain’s forest, where they survived on small rations of food and were instructed to perform special tasks.
